WANTED: Morning stable hand in Cobble Hill, British Columbia for sale

Stable hand position available at small, quiet facility in Deep Cove. Ideal opportunity for a boarder that wants to work off some of their board. (Full board offered at $430 - see other ads.) I am looking for someone that can commit to feeding breakfast (at 8-8:30am) to our horses 5 or 6 days a week, and a bonus would be to be available to feed lunch and or dinner on call. Your duties would include:
Feeding horses breakfast - hay and grain, occasionally supplements or medication
Preparing feed for following shifts if needed
Filling and cleaning water buckets
Removing or changing blankets as needed
Putting on fly masks as needed
Turning out horses as needed
There is no mucking required for this position, but it is an option if you want more hours. You must be physically fit, reliable, on time, and have experience with the above listed tasks. Knowledge about blanket changing, handling young horses (yearlings) and shy horses are assets but can be trained. You must have a vehicle or live close by as the bus only runs Monday-Friday. Applicants with access to a truck that can move hay between the hay shed and horse barns will have more opportunities for available hours. Must have HCBC. Email or text only please.
