The time has come to sell my "pocket rocket". The vehicle was imported from Japan in the Spring of 2010. It was and still is one of my favorite cars to drive.
BMW did not import the 1993 M3 to North America, so needless to say this is a very rare car. The Eurospec M3 3 L engine produces 282bhp, over 40bhp more than the 1995 version that was finally imported to N.A.
The car is not pristine but close to it. The engine revs cleanly up to the 7,500rpm red-line. The 5 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and precisely and the body and upholstery are sound.
The vehicle has 182,200km on it with a rust-free body and excellent original paint (a very dark grey colour - looks black in some light). Z rated 17" tires were installed to meet DOT import requirements.
I've spent a lot of time and money bringing it up to my standards. If this interests you, send me an email request for a summary of work done.
Known issues are as follows:
-some instrument cluster back-light bulbs not working
-the secondary air injection pump is noisy (have removed the drive belt as a temporary solution)
-the JVC aftermarket stereo has recently developed wiring issues
-the passenger side window control functions erratically
The only modifications that I'm aware of is the stock air intake filter has been replaced with a K&N filter assembly which includes a custom installed cold air shroud, and the original BMW cassette deck was replaced with a JVC CD deck c/w USB input.
The M3 comes with a Bentley Service Manual and my service receipts as well as a complete set of additional wheels (no tires).
I think I've covered everything however,if you have questions please ask via email.
Because of several previous experiences, I will be limiting test drives to serious buyers only (with cash in hand)
