91 F350 4x4, 7.5 L gas engine, 5 spd manual transmission, crew cab, long box
ugly but reliable. everything works, needs nothing. i've done tons of work on it because we've been using it to camp all over western canada and the US and i didn't want to deal with any problems out on the road. we just got home from a 5000 km road trip to montana and wyoming and back, and the thing ran like a top.
stuff i've replaced within the last two years:
front and rear brakes (flex hoses, calipers, pads, rotors, steel brake lines, wheel cylinders, brake fluid)
all new shocks
front axle seal and u-joint
synthetic oil in the trans and front and rear diffs
vehicle battery AND deep cell camper battery
alternator
thermostat, rad hoses, heater hoses, and coolant
regular oil and filter changes
air and fuel filters
new stereo with 1/8" and USB inputs
wired for an amp and sub (i'm keeping my amp and sub though)
backup camera
i have receipts for everything i've replaced. the truck is wired for both trailers and campers that sit in the box. it has a primary battery for starting the engine and a secondary deep cell battery for powering all the camper/RV stuff. the truck has electric trailer brakes. we found something a little shorter and more fuel efficient so it's time to find this one a new home. it could continue to be a great camper/road trip truck but it would also be a reliable work/firewood truck.
